Scholarship applications available

The Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs is once again offering one-year $2,000 scholarships to eligible seniors graduating in 2012. There are three types of scholarships:

  • Junior College/Trade School/Vocational School Scholarships for seniors graduating in the upper 50 percent of their class (up to two available);
  • Four-Year College/University Scholarships for seniors graduating in the upper 30 percent of their class (up to seven available); and
  • The Bonnie Greenberg Memorial Scholarship for a graduating special needs senior with a current Individualized Education Plan (IEP). The student need not be enrolled in special education classes, but must have a current IEP (one available).

The Schaumburg Township Council of PTAs is proud to announce its 2011 scholarship recipients:

The Bonnie Greenberg Memorial Scholarship

  • Jessica Loch (Schaumburg High School)

Two Year Junior College/Trade or Vocational School Scholarship

  • Angelika Galecka (Hoffman Estates High School)
  • Kristy Michalski (Hoffman Estates High School)

Four Year College/University Scholarship

  • Daniel Vanek (Hoffman Estates High School)
  • Amruta Bhatt (Hoffman Estates High School)
  • Kaily Schlosser (Hoffman Estates High School)
  • Christopher Flight (Schaumburg High School)
  • Ellen Finneran (Schaumburg High School)
  • Colette Falsey (Schaumburg High School)
  • Kelly Lomas (Conant High School)
  • Mabel Nevel (Conant High School)
  • Emily Hellstrom (Conant High School)

Each student was awarded a one-year, $2,000 scholarship at the annual STC Scholarship Recognition Dinner May 4 at Addams Junior High School. The recipients are all seniors in high school who once attended a District 54 school.
